Paint a simple sea scene in watercolor for beginners

Have you ever wanted to paint a simple sea scene?

One of my favorite subjects is the sea. This particular scene is from Sasebo, a small town in Nagasaki prefecture, Japan. This place is famous for having over 200 islands. It's also the place where many Christians hid when they were persecuted.

Below is the video demo. All you need for this lesson is one brush (I used a 5/8" Hake brush) and one paint (I used Holbein Phthalo blue) and some watercolor paper. Happy painting! If you want a full downloadable list of materials then click here.
