Enjoying the beautiful scenery of my local river, Oita river, in the summer of 2020 when it was super hot.
This is an unrealized sketch that I just happened to come across today. I hope one day I will do a full painting from this sketch. I have no idea where this place is.
Note: this is an old post that I have republished. It was first written in January of 2014. I have enlarged the painting because the original image was very small. Also I no longer have the original...
I found a very interesting painting in my scrapbook that had a green sky. I had a go at doing another green sky of this scene. I used cobalt green.
In 2019 I went to Kitsuki with my family in order to put up some of my work in a gift shop. On the way back I saw this beautiful scene of a river at dusk.
This is my first watercolor scribble lesson. The aim is to get you into painting, having fun and being a bit reckless and not worrying about the result. In this lesson we will paint a road crossing.
